HUNT YOU DOWN

by Christopher Farnsworth

John Smith is no ordinary gun for hire.

Smith is a man of rare gifts, and he knows your every thought . . .

Hired to track down a shooter targeting the rich and famous, Smith must complete his mission before another attack takes place. But when a website on the dark net is found to have connections to the murders, Smith realises that taking down a shadowy figure who has weaponised the internet will prove more difficult than he first thought.

And no matter how hard he tries, this criminal mastermind continues to remain one step ahead.

Ex-soldier and agent John Smith is a man of many talents. The best of them: He can read people. When in close proximity, and excluding crowds, he picks up on other's thoughts, even when he doesn’t want to. He’s a hotel-living, Bondesque character, capable of getting physical. Tough, yes, but he also feels the pain of others, in reading them he takes on their emotional and physical pain. To help him cope, Smith drinks and takes pills and, well, anything to take the edge off the burnout he suffers from this skill/curse.

In this exciting action thriller we begin in LA with Smith protecting a Russian billionaire’s son. On the job he spots a woman he recalls protecting years previously. She had been kidnapped and he got her back. A former wild child and reality star, Smith helped get her back on her feet too, and a renewed relationship begins. Invited to her society wedding Smith notices some of the waiters have guns and things are about to fire off.

Matters get violent but also entertaining and amusing. Smith is suspected of being involved and he cleverly uses some of his 'other' skills such as transferring pain from one to another. The society girl has been targeted and Smith must find out who is behind the attack but it won't be easy. This is a woman who is on a dark web list of the most hated people.

To uncover more about this virtual threat, Smith must travel to Norway. Meanwhile there’s a billionaire floating off coast, a female bodyguard, a set up, a race against time, troubles with the mafia and the government, drones, a search, an evil genius, and a whole load of crime.

It’s a high concept thriller in which the bad guys seem to be uncatchable.
